Prosperous Verses In The Bible
The word of God is alive, and powerful, and sharper than a double edged sword that it can pierce our life with good thoughts, direction, and above all good health and prosperity. Here are some verses in the Bible that talk about prosperity.
Psalm 1:3: “He is like a tree planted by streams of water,”
Proverbs 13:21: “The wise man fears the LORD’s discipline but he who hates reproof will die.”

: I love these three verses because they tell us how to be prosperous in our lives as Christians. If we follow these verses then we will have great success in our lives… It says first of all that we must seek God first before anything else. Secondly it says that we must trust Him for everything! Lastly He tells us what happens when you do this…that His blessing will rain down upon us abundantly!
Here are some verses in the Bible that talk about prosperity.
The Bible is full of verses that talk about prosperity. But what does prosperity mean?
Prosperity means to be successful, rich and healthy. It does not mean money. You may have lots of money but still be unprosperous because you have no peace or happiness in your life.
The Bible says: “The love of money is the root of all evil” (1 Timothy 6:10). This verse shows that being obsessed with making money can lead us into sin and cause problems in our lives. The way to avoid these problems is to follow God’s ways instead of trying to get everything we want by ourselves. God wants us to prosper but he also wants us to trust him so that we can enjoy our prosperity without worrying about anything else!
Psalm 1:3.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and it’s good to have a healthy respect for Him. “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil” (Prov 8:13), so you should steer clear of anything that goes against His word. But don’t worry—the Bible also tells us that He loves goodness and delights in those who do right (Psalm 37:28). So if you’re doing what you can to stay on God’s good side, then He’ll be pleased with your efforts!
Proverbs 13:21.
- Prosperity is the reward of hard work.
- Prosperity is a blessing.
- Prosperity is a sign of God’s favor.
- Prosperity is a reward for obedience to God’s Word, which will enable you to become prosperous in every area of life!
Psalm 112:1-3.
There are many verses in the Bible that speak to prosperity and wealth. Psalms 112:1-3 is one of those verses, which promises prosperity for those who serve God faithfully. This is an encouraging reminder for anyone who wants to be prosperous but can’t seem to get ahead financially.
The passage reads:
“Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in his commands. His descendants will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.”
Proverbs 11:25.
Proverbs 11:25 declares that God “heaps up riches for the righteous”. The Hebrew word behind “heaps up” is a verb that means “to pile up in abundance or wealth.” This verse shows us what prosperity looks like: God provides abundantly. We can see this in our own lives when we serve Him and give gifts to others.
Prosperity comes from God alone—he knows where every dollar went, whether it was spent on a candy bar or used to build wells in Africa. Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). And Paul taught us how to be prosperous in 2 Corinthians 8 through 9 by placing his trust in Christ instead of his own abilities or resources
Malachi 3:10-12.
Now this is one of my favorite passages. It’s so simple and straightforward, but it really packs a punch.
In Malachi 3:10-12, God says that if you honor the tithe (the first 10 percent of your income), He will bless you and turn your curse into a blessing! Now that sounds like something Prosperity Preaching would say! But wait—there’s more! If you don’t honor the tithe, then God says He will curse you and make sure your life is filled with broken relationships, sickness and disease, financial problems…you name it! Now that sounds like something Prosperity Preaching would say too! I think this passage shows us that both prosperity teachers are wrong because they are not teaching from scripture or standing on what God has said about His Word being perfect in every way.
Prosperous verses in the Bible must follow certain guidelines for them to be authentic meaning rooted in truth instead of being influenced by human opinion or interpretation
Luke 6:38.
Luke 6:38
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
This verse is a powerful reminder that God wants us to have success in our lives. If we are obedient and faithful in what God has commanded us to do, we can expect Him to provide for us abundantly. We see this demonstrated over and over again throughout scripture where God blesses those who obey his commands (see Genesis 22:16-17; Deuteronomy 28:1-2).
Matthew 5-7.
Matthew 5-7 is the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus teaches about how to live a successful life, how to be prosperous, and how to be happy. He also explains how you can have good health when you follow His teaching on prosperity.
In this chapter we learn that:
- Jesus is the way to become successful – Matthew 5:1-2
- We should not worry about food or clothing – Matthew 6:25-34 (read verses 25-34)
- We should not worry about wealth or possessions – Matthew 6:25-34 (read verses 25-34)
- Our success in life depends upon our relationship with God – Matthew 7:7
Proverbs 10:22.
Proverbs 10:22 is a verse that can help you to prosper. This verse can be applied to your finances and/or health. The Bible says that if you give, you will receive back. If you do not give, then it is like a thief stealing from your house. So when the Lord blesses us with wealth, it is our responsibility to share it with others.
John 16:24.
John 16:24.
“Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” This verse is from the book of John, which was written by one of Jesus’ disciples. It tells us that we can ask for things from God because He wants to give them to us! The best part is that if we ask with faith (belief) He will answer our prayers!
Philippians 4:19.
Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
“For the most part, we don’t need more money. We need to get out of debt. We need to stop spending beyond our means and investing for short-term gains at the expense of long-term financial stability. But if you’re in a bind—if you have an emergency car repair and you can’t afford it—then God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).”

The Bible says in Hebrews 4:12: For the word of God is quick (alive), and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit; [and] of joints and marrow [proving] both their tenderness [and] their firmness.
In Mark 11:23-24 we find Jesus saying: Therefore I say unto you what things soever ye desire when ye pray believe that ye receive them [ye shall have them]; and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying forgive if you have ought against any; that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
As you go through these verses, and others in the Bible that talk about prosperity, it is important to understand that they are not just saying God wants you to have money. He wants you to be prosperous in every area of life! That includes finances but also your health, relationships with others as well as with God himself. These verses give us hope for a future full of abundance and joy because after all it is only through Christ that we can truly live life abundantly!
