What Did Jesus Say About Heaven

What Did Jesus Say About Heaven

It’s a question that nearly everyone has asked themselves at some point: What happens after we die? There’s no shortage of answers, but perhaps the most important voice in this discussion comes from Jesus. So what did Jesus say about heaven?

Earth as a training ground.

You are on earth to learn and grow. Earth is a place to learn how to be like Jesus, but it’s not heaven. Jesus said the Kingdom of God is within you, not in heaven. He also said don’t store up treasures on earth because they won’t last forever.

A place of rest.

Heaven is a place of rest.

When we think about heaven, most of us imagine it as a place where we can finally relax and let our hair down after a lifetime of hard work. But what does the Bible say about this? It says that there will be no more suffering in heaven, which means that all of your worries will be gone forever! In fact, even our bodies will be different from what they are now; instead of being tired and weak due to age or sickness here on earth, our new bodies will be perfect and able to run around without getting tired! This is how God wants us all to experience eternal life—by enjoying every minute with him in his beautiful garden paradise where all his creatures live together peacefully.

Eternal life.

Jesus spoke about eternal life.

He said, “I am the way and the truth and the life.” He told his disciples that he was going to prepare a place for them, where they could be with him forever (John 14:2). This is what we call the Kingdom of Heaven. What does this mean? It means that when we die, our spirits are not separated from God’s Spirit but instead go into a perfect place where everything is new and wonderful. Jesus gave us a path to eternal life through his death on the cross, which took away all of our sins (Romans 6:23).

The transfiguration and the Father’s voice.

Jesus once took Peter, James and John up a high mountain. He was transfigured before them, and the disciples heard the voice of God speak from the cloud saying that Jesus was His Son. Moses and Elijah were also present with them in this experience.

The disciples were terrified by this experience but they did not understand what it meant until later when they encountered Jesus on their way down from the mountain again. The disciples asked Him “Why do you speak to us like this? We are weak with fear” (Matt 17:6). Then Jesus reminded them that He had told them so many times about His death and resurrection beforehand but they did not believe Him or trust Him enough to hear what He said about these things beforehand so why should they believe Him now?

Many mansions.

As you can see, Jesus’ use of the word mansion here is very different from how it’s commonly used today. This is because he was talking about his Father’s house, not your home or apartment—he wasn’t discussing multiple rooms within a single house!

Jesus’ words in John 14:2-3 are referring to places that await us in heaven. They are not referring to mansions on Earth or other planets. When we see him again, there will be no houses or apartments for us to live in; we will have the ability to do whatever we want without worrying about having enough money for food and shelter (Revelation 21:4).

Praying for God’s Kingdom to come on earth.

  • Pray for God’s kingdom to come.

  • What does it mean for a Christian to pray for God’s kingdom to come on earth?

Jesus spoke about heaven 🙂

Jesus spoke of heaven:

  • Heaven is a real place.
  • Heaven is the home of all who believe in Jesus Christ.
  • Heaven is a place of rest, peace and joy.
  • Heaven is home to many who have died and gone before us including Abraham, Moses, David and others.

Conclusion: We know that Heaven is more than just a place. It is also a person, and it is the only way to God. If you want to know how we can get there, then let me tell you something amazing. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and life – He said so Himself! He came down from Heaven on a mission to save us all because He loves us so much. Let’s not forget what Jesus told His disciples when they asked Him this very question; “In my Father’s house are many rooms.” Then He went on saying,”I am going there to prepare a place for you.”
