What Does The Bible Say About Mothers

“Honor Your Father and Mother” (This Is the First Commandment with A Promise).

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. – Ephesians 6:1-4 ESV

Children should obey their parents, who are God’s representatives on earth. Parents should raise their children in the Lord by teaching them about Him and His word. Children should honor their parents because they represent God to them and help them grow up as He intends for them to be: mature Christians who can make decisions based on His principles rather than worldly ones

She Opens Her Mouth with Wisdom, and The Teaching of Kindness Is on Her Tongue. – Proverbs 31:26 Esv

You should teach your children kindness, and they will learn wisdom. – Proverbs 22:6 ESV

A wise woman builds her house, but a foolish one tears it down with her own hands. – Proverbs 14:1 ESV

The mother of a righteous child has great joy; she who has delivered herself from the snares of life sings for joy… – Proverbs 23:25-26 ESV

For This Child, I Prayed, and The Lord Has Granted Me My Petition that I Made to Him. 1 Samuel 1:27 Esv

When you read this scripture it seems pretty simple, but the truth is that it’s not an easy thing to do. The Bible says:

  • There are many ways to pray for our children, but in this verse, it says that Hannah prayed specifically for a child. She prayed to God and He answered her prayer.
  • When Hannah dedicated her son Samuel, she did so by giving him up completely and asking God to take care of him from then on. Hannah made sure that Samuel was safe in God’s hands before she left him there forever (that is what “dedicated” means). This means that she trusted God fully with their son and would never turn back around again if he failed her or let them down somehow later on in life (which will happen if we don’t look out for each other).
  • She also gave thanks for what she had received from the Lord which is something we should always remember whenever we receive something good from Him!

“Can a Woman Forget Her Nursing Child, that She Should Have No Compassion on The Son of Her Womb? – Isaiah 49:15 Esv

This verse is a reminder that mothers cannot forget their children. The Bible shows us that this isn’t just true of mothers; God won’t forget us, either.

Even though you might have trouble remembering what happened yesterday, God will never forget you.

Train up A Child in The Way He Should Go; Even when He Is Old He Will Not Depart from It. – Proverbs 22:6 Esv

This verse is a great reminder of the importance of training a child properly. It’s important to teach them the principles found in Scripture and let them know that they can trust God with their lives. If we don’t train our children well, they may go astray when they are older.

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it – Proverbs 22:6 ESV
