The world has been around for a very long time, and humanity has had the ability to practice religion for just as long. But when did religious belief first emerge in human history, and which religion came last in the world? While there is no known founding date for any of the major religions, some of the older ones predate recorded history. Judaism is thought to have been founded between 2000 and 1500 BCE. Hinduism is among the oldest world religions. Buddhism emerged about 500 years later in India. Which religion came first in the world?
The first Abrahamic religion was Judaism. Christianity emerged around 30 CE as an offshoot of Judaism. Islam began with the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad in the early 600s CE. Some religions are thousands of years older than others (we’ll get into what those are in a moment).
The Specific Time when A Religion Was Established Is Difficult to Determine.
It’s not necessary to establish a specific time when a religion was established. The reason for this is because religion is not scientific.
A comparison: In science, we use the term fact in order to mark what we know as true and proven. Religion, however, doesn’t deal with facts—it deals with beliefs and worldviews. So instead of “facts,” people might say that their religious beliefs are true for them or that their spiritual experiences mean something significant about their lives (or maybe even both). Because religions aren’t based on facts, there’s no way of knowing which came first or how long ago they were created—and neither does it matter!
Religion Is a Collection of Cultural Systems, Belief Systems, and Worldviews that Relate Humanity to Spirituality And, Sometimes, to Moral Values.
Religion is a collection of cultural systems, belief systems, and worldviews that relate humanity to spirituality and, sometimes, to moral values. Many religions have narratives or mythologies associated with their deities or deities that include stories about how the world was created and how people should live.
Religion can be expressed through public ceremonies, rituals such as prayer and sacrifice, acts of devotion such as [praying](https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/pray), pilgrimage or other spiritual practices. Religion may also include funeral rites performed by a priest or clergyman for the benefit of the dead (for example:)

While There Is No Known Founding Date for Any of The Major Religions, Some of The Older Ones Pre-Date Recorded History.
While there is no known founding date for any of the major religions, some of the older ones pre-date recorded history. Among them are Judaism and Hinduism, which are thought to have been founded between 2000 and 1500 BCE. The first Abrahamic religion was Judaism, which emerged around 3000 BCE in present-day Israel as an offshoot of the belief system known as Canaanite polytheism. It’s unclear exactly when Hinduism began but it’s estimated to be between 2000 BCE and 1500 BCE. Buddhism emerged about 500 years later in India–around 500 BCE–and Christianity followed shortly after that: It first appeared around 30 CE as an offshoot of Judaism
Judaism Is Thought to Have Been Founded Between 2000 and 1500 Bce.
Judaism is thought to have been founded between 2000 and 1500 BCE.
The Torah was written around 1500 BCE, which means that it was the first book on earth, and then came the other four books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers.
The Torah is also known as the Pentateuch meaning five books; these were then followed by what is called Joshua which goes from chapter 1 through chapter 24 of Deuteronomy.
Judaism believes that God gave Moses these tablets so he could lead them out of Egypt into Canaan where they would eventually settle down in Jerusalem and build their temple there.
Hinduism Is Among the Oldest World Religions.
Hinduism is the oldest living religion in the world. It originated in India about 3,500 years ago and spread to other regions of Asia. Hinduism is also one of the largest religions with about 900 million followers worldwide today.
There are three major branches within Hinduism: Vaishnavism, Shaivism and Shaktism. Each branch has its own holy texts as well as rituals and practices associated with them; however there is no single set that all Hindus follow or believe in completely.
Buddhism Emerged About 500 Years Later in India.
Buddhism emerged about 500 years later in India.
Buddhism is an Indian religion and philosophy. Buddhists believe that Gautama Buddha was the first person to achieve enlightenment and teach others how it could be attained. Buddhism was also founded by Siddhartha Gautama, who was born in Nepal around 563 BCE and lived most of his life in India. The religion spread throughout Asia and now has 400 million followers worldwide — making it the fourth largest religion after Christianity, Islam and Hinduism.
The First Abrahamic Religion Was Judaism.
You’re probably familiar with Judaism, as it’s one of the oldest monotheistic religions in the world. It is also considered one of the first major monotheistic religions. It has roots dating back to Abraham (also known as Ibrahim), who is considered by adherents to be a prophet and patriarch of humanity (as well as its founder).
Judaism is also considered an Abrahamic religion because its followers believe that God gave them a covenant (or promise) with himself through Moses. In order for this covenant to be valid, God made certain demands of his people: they had to keep all 613 commandments written down by Moses on two stone tablets; they had to accept their prophets—including Jesus Christ—as true messengers sent by God; and they had to live according to Torah law or perish forever.*
Christianity Emerged Around 30 Ce as An Offshoot of Judaism.
As a result of this schism, Christianity began to spread across the Roman world through early converts and missionaries. The first churches were established in Jerusalem, but they soon spread to Antioch, Ephesus and Corinth.
Christianity was founded by Jesus Christ (c. 4 BCE–c. 30 CE), who is believed to be the Son of God and second person of the Trinity: God the Father (first person) plus Jesus Christ (second person). The Bible says that Jesus was born as a Jewish person in Bethlehem.[1] He lived his life according to Jewish beliefs until his death by crucifixion in Jerusalem around 30 CE – though some scholars believe that he actually died c 100 CE or later due to lack of evidence for his actual life existing back then!
Islam Began with The Life and Teachings of Prophet Muhammad in The Early 600s Ce.
Islam is a monotheistic religion that originated in the early 600s CE. Muhammad was born in Mecca in 570 CE and died in Medina in 632 CE. He was the founder of Islam and the Quran is the holy text of Islam. Muslims believe that there is only one god, Allah, who has sent prophets to humanity before Muhammad including Adam, Noah, Abraham and Jesus Christ among others.
Muslims believe that there are five basic tenets which must be believed by all Muslims: God (Allah), angels, books of revelation such as the Torah and Gospels (Injil), messengers (prophets) such as Moses or Jesus Christ who were sent from Allah to guide humanity through their teachings called Hadith; lastly there is an afterlife where good people go after death called Jannah while bad people go to Hellfire called Jahannam
According to Some Estimations Sikhism Has Existed Since 1469 Ce.

Sikhism is the fifth largest organized religion in the world. Sikhs believe in one God, but they have many different interpretations of what that means.
Some Religions Are Thousands of Years Older than Others.
To answer the question “Which religion came last in the world?” it’s important to understand that religions are not all the same age.
Some, such as Christianity and Islam, have existed for thousands of years and been practiced by billions of people across the globe. Others are much younger; some modern religions are less than 100 years old!
How do you know which religion is the oldest? The same way you’d find out anything else about history: by looking at sources from different times and places. For example, if an ancient text said something about an earlier religion (like Christianity), then we could say that particular book was written earlier than our book. We’d need more ancient texts to compare them though – this would be a good start though!
What is likely true is that some religions came before others because they had more people who liked them (and wanted more followers). So while there may not be one definitive answer to this question yet – I believe we’ll get closer as time goes on!

Final Thought
There are many religions in the world, and each one has its own history. It is difficult to pinpoint exactly when each began because most were founded before recorded history. Some are older than others, but it is clear that there will always be new religions being created as people discover new ways of thinking about life and spirituality.
