The psalms are known as “songs of praise” that were written mostly by King David. He was a man after God’s own heart, who wrote many songs praising God. The book of Psalms is part of the Old Testament and contains 150 songs written by King David and other psalmists.

The Bible teaches us that there are two Gods: one true God who created all things (Genesis 1:1), and another false god called Satan or Lucifer who rebelled against God (Isaiah 14:12-15). The Holy Spirit told King David to write about this false god named Lucifer when he said, “In Your hand are power and might; In Your hand it is to make great…To give wisdom to those who have erred from Your ways…Let not those rejoice over me who are wrongfully mine enemies; Let not those wink with wicked eyes at me nor let those speak evil against me with a malicious tongue” (Psalm 21).

He has given me another year of life, and I am happy to praise His name.

Thank you for being alive. Thank God for your blessings. Thank God for your family and friends, health and safety. Ask forgiveness for any wrongs you may have done and ask for guidance from God in the year ahead.
